This is a story of Samson who can’t get a haircut.
An angel of the Lord appeared to a barren woman promising she would bear a son who would begin to deliver Israel from the Philistines.
The son, Samson, grew up with incredible strength and became a judge of Israel.
But Samson fell in love with Philistine woman Delilah.
The Philistine rulers bribed Delilah to discover the secret of Samson’s strength.
Later Samson finally revealed that his strength lay in his uncut hair.
So later as Samson slept, Delilah cut his hair and his strength left him.
The Philistines seized hi, gouged out his eyes and imprisoned Samson. Samson was humiliated , forced to grind grain in the prison.
But his hair began to grow back. He prayed to God asking for strength one last time to defeat the Philistines.
One final day, Samson braced himself against the temple pillars using his regained strength to push them apart. The temple collapsed killing many Philistines and Samson himself.
