This is the story of the battle of David and Goliath
The Israelite and Philistine armies were at war
and the 3 meters tall Philistine giant Goliath taunted the Israelite army every day
David, a young Shepherd heard about Goliath and decided to face him. He went to King Saul and offered to fight Goliath believing that god would help him.
He refuged the King’s armor. Instead, he picked five smooth stones for his sling.
Finally, David and Goliath met on the battlefield. Goliath mocked David but David stood firm.
David swung his sling and launched a stone at Goliath. The stone struck Goliath on the forehead and he fell down to the ground.
He used Goliath’s own sword to finish him. The Israelites rejoiced as their enemy was defeated.
David became a hero in Israel and his faith in god inspired many.
