This is the story about Joseph’s rise in his life
Joseph, the youngest son of Jacob had dreams that foretold his rise to power causing his brothers to resent him out of jealousy.
So his brothers threw him into a pit and sold him into slavery.
He was taken to Egypt and sold to Potifer, an officer of Pharaoh.
He earned Potifer’s trust and was put in charge of his household. But Potifer’s wife falsely accused Joseph of misconduct and he was thrown into Prison.
In prison, Joseph interpreted the dreams of Pharaoh’s cupbearer and baker.
Meanwhile, Pharaoh had disturbing dreams that none of his advisors could interpret.
So Joseph was brought before Pharaoh and correctly interpreted his dreams predicting 7 years of plenty followed by 7 years of famine.
Pharaoh was impressed and made him the second most powerful man in Egypt as Joseph had predicted a severe famine struct the land.
After 7 years of abundance, Joseph’s brothers came to Egypt seeking food unknowingly bowing before the brother they had betrayed.
But Joseph forgave them understanding that their actions were part of God’s greater plan to save many lives.
